The SWITCHGEAR & APPARATUS
Division ( SAD ) designs and manufactures a wide array of high-voltage switchgear, uninterruptible power
and battery
systems, electrical control assemblies, power transformers and unit substations.
We manufacture CSA-listed metal-enclosed and metal-clad switchgear, and high-voltage motor control. Switchgear is manufactured for both indoor and outdoor applications and also with relocate-able skid-mounted walk-in buildings. SAD is a leader in building custom unit substations with vacuum circuit breakers, dry-type transformers up to 10MVA, incorporating LV switchboards with fixed or draw-out breakers.
A specialty is skid-mounted walk-in outdoor switchgear buildings, with HV switchgear, transformers, and load centres.
SAD is
also oriented
toward the specialty requirements of industrial, resource and mining users with emphasis
on portable substations in the 2.3 kV to 25 kV range. SAD employs
experienced engineers and specialized support staff.
